Jennifer Hudson is reported to have thrown fiance David Otunga out of her home in their wake of their split.
According to the website TMZ, the singer and former Oscar-winner made the move after taking out a restraining order against Otunga, whom she has been with for ten years.
The site claims that the police came to Hudson’s home and ordered Otunga to leave after packing a bag.
Hudson is also reported to have filed a petition for full custody of their eight-year-old son David Daniel Otunga Jr – with her reps saying in a statement her actions were ‘in the best interest of their son’.

Reboots are commonplace these days, but a reboot of a sitcom into a drama? That’s rare. Newcomer Jabari Banks has the difficult task of stepping into the role of Will on Peacock’s Bel-Air, based on the iconic ’90s Will Smith sitcom Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. “There’s no way that I could be the Will version of Will. That was lightning in a bottle.” But Banks, who says Smith has been “a great mentor for me throughout this whole process,” says the themes of the original series are well-suited to a dramatic retelling. “There are universal themes. It’s about family, a fish-out-of-water story. That’s so recognizable.” But the new series does allow for the characters to grow. “A big theme we’re touching on is what does it mean when you’re successful and Black? Does that mean that you lose your Blackness? I think as a family, they’re undeniably Black. So to see that perspective is going to be a big moment for the community.” While Banks admits people were at first “skeptical” about the reboot, he says he gets why. “I think that’s natural with something like this. People don’t play with their nostalgia.”
How did you handle the pressure of stepping into such an iconic role?
Pressure makes diamonds. But I did feel the pressure at first. Two weeks into the process, I was like, “Man, why me?” Then I had a really, really good, deep talk with the creator, director, and producer, Morgan Cooper. He was like, “The first time that I met you in Philly, I knew it was you.” And this was mid-audition process. I still had to go through all the steps, and I had to prove it to the rest of the team, but Morgan knew it was me. He knew that I would bring myself to this role and lean on my own instincts. So that definitely took the pressure off. And talking to Will [Smith], he said similar things. He was like, just be yourself, because that’s what he was doing when he was doing Fresh Prince in the ’90s. He wasn’t trying to be anybody else, he was just being himself.

Considering the amount of similarities you share with Will Smith: you both rap, you’re both from Philadelphia, etc., was there ever a moment in the audition process where you were like, “I got this?”
Oh, I immediately knew as soon as I got the call that this was me. I just had to prove it to everyone else. There’s something that I always say, if you ask the universe or God for something, they’re gonna send it your way. It just depends if you’re ready, and I made the point to stay ready and just be focused about the work. So I definitely surrendered to the whole process. That was a huge part of me getting the role was me surrendering. There was a moment in Philly, actually, Morgan and one of the showrunners, T.J. Brady, were scouting and they were like, “Hey, we want to meet Jabari in person.” I wasn’t ready. Mentally I was there. But I was like, I gotta do things. But when the time comes, you gotta be there, and I showed up. That’s a great day.
I read that you had a pretty interesting experience finding out you got the part?
So it was a crazy month for me. I was moving at the time, couch surfing and auditioning. So every callback, every audition that I had, was in a different friend’s house. I didn’t have Wi-Fi at the spot I was staying, and I needed a place to do my audition and have decent lighting. My friend Dante offered his closet. I got on the call thinking that it was an audition, and then Will surprised me. He was like, “Where is everyone? Go get them.” And we were all in that little tiny closet. [laughs]
Rarely is a sitcom rebooted into a drama series. Why do you think the Fresh Prince likens itself so well to a new format?
That’s a great question. I think it’s the themes. There are naturally universal themes in the show. It’s about family. It’s about a young man coming of age and a fish-out-of-water story; something that’s so recognizable. Whatever format you put it in, those are themes that we can all resonate with. So I think that lends itself to transform into a dramatic setting as well. There’s a balance that you have to walk when you’re doing something like this, but I definitely think that we found it, and we’ve run with it.
With that in mind, what sort of topics do you think are you able to explore more of because it’s a drama?
One of my favorites, and a big theme we’re touching on, is what does it mean when you’re successful and Black? Does that mean that you lose your Blackness because you’re successful? I think in the ’90s, they played on that theme where it was like, Will is coming into Bel-Air, and he’s teaching the Banks family how to be Black again and reminding them of their roots. And I think in ours, there are moments where he’s teaching them how to be free, and Will changes each character’s life in his own way. But I think as a family, they’re undeniably Black. So to see that perspective is going to be a big moment for the community.

I think my favorite reaction was that they’re skeptical. I think that’s natural with something like this. I mean, it’s a reboot. People don’t play with their nostalgia, right? And Fresh Prince was one of the quintessential ’90s sitcoms, and so they’re like, be careful. Once they saw it they were like, “Oh, I’m really loving it.” That just means that we did our job well.
You were born after the original series had ended. How did you watch the original?
My family had the box set. We had it on repeat in our house all the time. Fresh Prince really raised me. It was definitely a cornerstone for me. And I think that’s something that’s so special about Fresh Prince, every generation can find something in it, something that’s recognizable to them.
How involved was Will Smith in helping you find this character?
Man, he’s been a great mentor for me throughout this whole process. It’s been amazing, talking with him and just working with him. Picking his brain. I think the biggest advice he gave me that brought me to the character was to just be myself and bring myself to the character, bring my experiences and my intuition to the character. So that’s something that I definitely took with me throughout this whole ride, and that I will continue to take with me. There’s no way that I could be the Will version of Will. That was lightning in a bottle.
What sort of new things are you bringing to the character?
I think my version of Will is a little more heated. He has a shorter temper. He doesn’t like his toes being stepped on. And any opportunity that he finds to prove someone wrong, he will, even if it gets him in trouble. He’s a very prideful young man. I think throughout this series, we get to see him break down those walls.
There are so many little Easter eggs throughout the series that fans of the original show will get excited about. Was that intentional?
For sure. The writers and the showrunners have done an amazing job sprinkling in some tidbits and Easter eggs from the original show into this one. So when you see it, you’re gonna be like, “Oh, my God, I remember that, because this happened…” I think it would be too on the nose to just have the Carlton dance. They’ve been very nuanced with how they’re placing some of the Easter eggs. So that’s gonna be super exciting.
Considering this is your first big project, do you have other things in the works?
I’m currently writing a screenplay. I want to do movies as well. Excuse me. I’m going to do movies. I’m working on music as well. So a lot of different angles.
Considering how iconic the original theme song is, have people been singing it to you nonstop?
It hasn’t happened yet. I think when it does happen, I’ll just sing along with it because I love that song. I mean it’s so embedded in our psyches.

And any opportunity that he finds to prove someone wrong, he will, even if it gets him in trouble. He’s a very prideful young man. I think throughout this series, we get to see him break down those walls.
There are so many little Easter eggs throughout the series that fans of the original show will get excited about. Was that intentional?
For sure. The writers and the showrunners have done an amazing job sprinkling in some tidbits and Easter eggs from the original show into this one. So when you see it, you’re gonna be like, “Oh, my God, I remember that, because this happened…” I think it would be too on the nose to just have the Carlton dance. They’ve been very nuanced with how they’re placing some of the Easter eggs. So that’s gonna be super exciting.
Considering this is your first big project, do you have other things in the works?
I’m currently writing a screenplay. I want to do movies as well. Excuse me. I’m going to do movies. I’m working on music as well. So a lot of different angles.
Considering how iconic the original theme song is, have people been singing it to you nonstop?
It hasn’t happened yet. I think when it does happen, I’ll just sing along with it because I love that song. I mean it’s so embedded in our psyches.

Ant-Man went on to receive a sequel back in 2018, Ant-Man and the Wasp, which saw Lost star Evangeline Lilly partner up with Lang and take on the mantle of Wasp. Since his debut, Rudd’s Ant-Man has established himself as an integral character within the MCU, while also providing some much-needed comic relief during some of the franchise’s more pivotal and intense moments.

Scott Lang’s third standalone installment, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, is currently set for release next summer and will see Rudd return to the MCU for the first time since the earth-shattering events of 2019’s Avengers: Endgame. Given the stacked cast that this film boasts (including a confirmed appearance from Bill Murray,) audiences were already incredibly excited to see what this third Ant-Man installment will mean for the future of the MCU. Now this new footage, albeit short, is only likely to amplify the anticipation for this long-awaited threequel, as its quantum-central theme certainly holds a number of exciting possibilities.

In 2014, writer/director James Gunn pulled off one hell of a trick. We’ve been on one hell of a ride with the characters ever since, between Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2., Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame, and soon we will see their time as a unit come to an end in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. It’s a highly anticipated blockbuster, but according to star Zoe Saldana, the fact that everyone is preparing to say goodbye has created a bittersweet atmosphere on set.
Production on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is still rolling along down in Atlanta, Georgia (principal photography having begun last November), and the star best known for her role as Gamora in the Marvel Cinematic Universe recently told ScreenRant about what making the movie has been like. Saldana noted that restrictions from the pandemic have had an impact on experience, but it seems that what’s more significant for her is what’s happening with the cast and crew emotionally. She explained,
I have to say we’re dealing with a lot of adversities, which is COVID and scheduling and things like that. But when we’re there, we’re having such a wonderful time, you know? It’s a bittersweet moment because it is our understanding that this will be the last Guardians of the Galaxy. So it’s bitter in that sense, but it’s sweet because we are all very grateful to have lived this journey together and James Gunn really is giving us a beautiful ending, and this story is really compelling.
Of all the Marvel characters set to return in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Zoe Saldana’s Gamora is arguably the most fascinating. Fans who saw the last two Avengers movies will remember that the Gamora we got to know and love from Guardians of the Galaxy and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is now dead – having been sacrificed by Thanos so that he could acquire the Soul Stone. The Gamora who will be featured in the upcoming blockbuster is one who traveled through time and has no idea who Peter Quill, Drax, Groot, Rocket, and Mantis are… but they still know her like family.
We don’t know much of anything about the plot of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (which is nothing out of the ordinary), but James Gunn did confirm all the way back in 2017 that it would be the film that would end the story for the current lineup of heroes. According to Zoe Saldana, shooting the movie has been difficult (early call times are harsh and the makeup removal process certainly seems like a real challenge), but she clearly thinks that the juice will be worth the squeeze:

Rehearsals are currently underway for the upcoming Broadway revival of Funny Girl, which begins previews March 26 at the August Wilson Theatre starring Beanie Feldstein as Fanny Brice and Tony and Olivier nominee Ramin Karimloo as Nick Arnstein. Opening night is April 24.
Members of the cast and creative team chat about the eagerly awaited revival in the video above. Feldstein, who is stepping into the role created by Barbra Streisand, says, “Funny Girl is so magical. Arnold Schwarzenegger has increased the prize money at the 2022 Arnold Strongman Classic for a Ukrainian athlete and event runner-up who intends to rejoin his country’s defense efforts against the Russian military.

There are plenty of headlines about greedy billionaires that’ll make your head spin. But not all are out for themselves. For example, once divorced from Jeff Bezos, MacKenzie Scott committed to give away a huge chunk of her $46 billion net worth.
We’re fascinated with the rich and powerful, which is why viewers love to escape into the lavish world of Showtime’s hit drama Billions. Despite the loss of Damian Lewis’ Bobby Axelrod, the series has continued to grow its streaming audience with every season since premiering in 2016. The 12-episode sixth season delivered its most-watched opening week ever.
While this season is still about custom-built yachts and high-end fashion, it’s also focused on how money can help those less fortunate. In a recent interview, Asia Kate Dillon talked about their character, Taylor Mason, who is particularly interested in taking those accumulated billions and changing the world for the better. We focused on the recently aired episode “Burn Rate” and Taylor’s showdown with new boss Michael Prince (Corey Stoll).
In one pivotal scene, Taylor stands up to Prince by saying they each have a responsibility to make positive and lasting change. Prince stands his ground making it clear that Taylor isn’t being realistic; their $100 million goal just isn’t enough to cut it. That nine-digit combination won’t open the lock to the escape hatch, he says. Taylor now knows they must aim much higher. His net worth is more than $10 billion and Taylor realizes that they, too, must join the billionaires club.
Taylor has become a fan favorite and it will be fun to see what happens moving forward in the season. Like Taylor who wants to use the power of money to make positive change, show creators Brian Koppelman, David Levien and Aaron Sorkin wanted to use the power of a TV show to shine a light on a gender non-binary character. Dillon made history as the first such character on a mainstream television series portrayed by a gender non-binary actor. When Koppelman and Levien originally wrote the character, they hadn’t met Dillon or seen their work.
Dillon, who recently presented at the Gotham Awards, has been an advocate for the non-binary community. In this case, the awards show scrapped gender from all categories and made the focus solely on a performer’s talent.
In a past interview, Dillon explained that the character had originally been written as a person that had been assigned female at birth and identified as gender non-binary; a person whose gender identity falls outside the boxes of man or woman. Because Taylor doesn’t identify as a man or a woman and exists outside the traditional gender binary, there isn’t a use of the pronouns he or she or his or her. Instead, the pronouns they, them, and their are used.
At the time, just before season two premiered, Dillon explained that Showtime gave them a choice to really shine a spotlight on the fact they identify as gender non-binary, or not, but the decision to be out in the open was clear. “I know that visibility and representation save lives.”

Fans have watched Taylor skillfully navigate the landscape at Axe Cap but now things are shifting. Not only is Prince’s name now on the wall but the goal has changed from that of accumulation to one of giving back.
“Taylor has always struggled with how to be a good person,” Dillon recently explained. “Episode four is the first time we really get to hear from Taylor as to their why – the deeper reasons underneath it all. They really want to affect lasting social advancements and make positive change that stands the test of time.”
Power shifts are expected in these halls but for Taylor, it’s more like running through a minefield. “Taylor still has their guard up about Prince and who he is and what his ultimate motives are and whether he can be trusted. They have PTSD from Axe and wonder if Prince will throw them under the bus.”
Taylor’s main effort in this episode is to bring free WiFi to the people in Africa and while this is an altruistic goal, they are met yet again with obstacles. “Taylor realizes they are not done learning. They need to really hear what Prince is saying and shift their monetary goal in order to make the kind of change they want to make.”
Dillon is excited to explore the various power dynamics Taylor is engaged in this season. “Taylor can now stand up to Prince without being afraid. They continue to try and figure out how to exist in their world while remaining a good person. Is that even possible?”
Showtime just announced ‘Billions’ will return for a seventh season. New episodes this season air on Showtime Sundays at 9:00 pm ET/PT.

Like Taylor who wants to use the power of money to make positive change, show creators Brian Koppelman, David Levien and Aaron Sorkin wanted to use the power of a TV show to shine a light on a gender non-binary character. Dillon made history as the first such character on a mainstream television series portrayed by a gender non-binary actor. When Koppelman and Levien originally wrote the character, they hadn’t met Dillon or seen their work.
Dillon, who recently presented at the Gotham Awards, has been an advocate for the non-binary community. In this case, the awards show scrapped gender from all categories and made the focus solely on a performer’s talent.
In a past interview, Dillon explained that the character had originally been written as a person that had been assigned female at birth and identified as gender non-binary; a person whose gender identity falls outside the boxes of man or woman. Because Taylor doesn’t identify as a man or a woman and exists outside the traditional gender binary, there isn’t a use of the pronouns he or she or his or her. Instead, the pronouns they, them, and their are used.
At the time, just before season two premiered, Dillon explained that Showtime gave them a choice to really shine a spotlight on the fact they identify as gender non-binary, or not, but the decision to be out in the open was clear. “I know that visibility and representation save lives.”

Fans have watched Taylor skillfully navigate the landscape at Axe Cap but now things are shifting. Not only is Prince’s name now on the wall but the goal has changed from that of accumulation to one of giving back.
“Taylor has always struggled with how to be a good person,” Dillon recently explained. “Episode four is the first time we really get to hear from Taylor as to their why – the deeper reasons underneath it all. They really want to affect lasting social advancements and make positive change that stands the test of time.”
Power shifts are expected in these halls but for Taylor, it’s more like running through a minefield. “Taylor still has their guard up about Prince and who he is and what his ultimate motives are and whether he can be trusted. They have PTSD from Axe and wonder if Prince will throw them under the bus.”
Taylor’s main effort in this episode is to bring free WiFi to the people in Africa and while this is an altruistic goal, they are met yet again with obstacles. “Taylor realizes they are not done learning. They need to really hear what Prince is saying and shift their monetary goal in order to make the kind of change they want to make.”
Dillon is excited to explore the various power dynamics Taylor is engaged in this season. “Taylor can now stand up to Prince without being afraid. They continue to try and figure out how to exist in their world while remaining a good person. Is that even possible?”
