For the uninitiated, Kathleen was found dead at the bottom of the stairs at her family home in North Carolina in 2001. Suspicions arose that Michael had instead killed her and staged it to look like an accident.

With director Martin Campbell’s Memory opening in theaters this weekend, I recently spoke to Monica Bellucci about being part of the action thriller starring Liam Neeson. In the film, Neeson plays an expert assassin that’s dealing with getting older and suffering from a memory that is beginning to falter. When a job goes wrong because he refuses to kill a child, Neeson must figure out who hired him while staying ahead of the FBI and his failing memory. The Star Wars universe continues to expand, but can the same be said for Ewan McGregor’s time playing Jedi master Obi-Wan Kenobi? While the role of Obi-Wan could have easily been recast, millennials will be pleased to know Ewan McGregor is back to pick up where he left off in the new Disney+ limited series Obi-Wan Kenobi. Now, ahead of the premiere, Ewan McGregor has shared whether or not he will continue to stick around the Star Wars universe.
The last time we saw Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan was 17 years ago when he battled his former apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, on Mustafar after Anakin led the assault on the Jedi Temple in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Once Obi-Wan left Anakin to die only to be rescued and transformed into Darth Vader, he delivered one of his two children, Luke, to his aunt and uncle on Tatooine. Obi-Wan has watched over Luke ever since. McGregor weighed in on his potential future in the galaxy far, far away to Total Film magazine (via CBR), saying:
If we were to get an opportunity to do it again, I’d be totally up for that. Here I go again. It’s like me knocking at Disney’s door again!
When Ewan McGregor played Obi-Wan for the first time as a young apprentice in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, he needed inspiration to draw on to play the iconic character. Who better to be influenced by than the actor who originated the role, Alec Guinness? He said about reprising the role in the post-prequel trilogy era:
It was nice to come back and to bridge that gap between me and Alec Guinness. I got as much, or more, out of playing him this time than I did in the first three movies put together. That’s to do with the writing, and the people we were making the series with, and the technology, and how different everything is.
Seeing Obi-Wan this time around may feel more like the Alec Guinness version that we saw in the original trilogy series as opposed to Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan as of the end of Revenge of the Sith. Ewan McGregor has said that he felt he would be more excited about making Obi-Wan Kenobi compared to the Star Wars prequels. After all, the Disney+ series will not be relying so much on the CGI the way George Lucas did for his movies. In this technology-centric world that we live in, we will look forward to seeing more practical movie magic as the original movies gave us.
We can also expect “the rematch of a century” as Hayden Christensen will also return to the sci-fi miniseries. Both Christensen and McGregor have done their homework to ensure that they have all of the information they need from the Star Wars universe to accurately portray these characters again. Christensen’s great method of preparing was to binge-watch the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Rebels to further explore the relationship between Obi-Wan and Anakin. The chemistry the two stars had in the prequel series is bound to appear for Obi-Wan Kenobi even if the two characters are now enemies.
Let’s cross our fingers that the Star Wars universe will continue to use Ewan McGregor as our favorite Jedi master. With the Star Wars universe not stopping anytime soon, I’d say there’s a good chance. You can watch the six-episode miniseries Obi-Wan Kenobi on your Disney+ subscription with the first two episodes premiering on May 27.

Apparently, Rebel Wilson has been trying to make people laugh since she was in high school.
Rebel, whose brutal joke about Prince Andrew resurfaced ahead of her appearance at the BAFTAs 2022, stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! earlier this week to promote Senior Year—her first movie in three years. The 42-year-old actor hilariously brought her high school yearbook along for the appearance.
While flipping through the yearbook with the late-night host, Rebel revealed that she was a “good student” (she did graduate from a top Australian law school, after all!) and the captain of her school’s basketball team. However, the star explained, she was also “a little bit cheeky.”
To portray that irreverence, Rebel told the audience about a little prank she pulled on her teacher that actually left the educator in tears.
“In the boarding house, I would mastermind the escapes,” she said. “We had bars on our windows. It was that type of good Christian school. Then I would organize the escapes to go. I’d work out all the passcodes for the alarms. One time, I locked a teacher in a cupboard for four hours.”

Admitting that she didn’t really have a reason to do such a thing, Rebel explained that she lured her teacher in the cupboard by telling her there was something in it she needed to see. The then-student followed the lie by pushing her instructor in the cupboard and locking the door.
“She was a mean teacher,” Rebel said to a laughing audience. “It was really good revenge. Yeah, she cried and she could never tell which girl it was that pushed in.”
Rebel has been revisiting her formative years because Senior Year is about a high-school cheerleader who suffers a head injury and falls into a coma before her senior prom to then wake up 20 years later as a 37-year-old woman who decides to go back to high school to finish her term. In the film, Rebel takes on the role of protagonist Stephanie Conway.
On her late-night appearance, Rebel also revealed that she was actually pretty loved in school (given the legions of fans that consider her to be one of the funniest comedians of her generation, we are not surprised).
“I was voted deputy head girl, which is kind of the second most popular girl,” she said by way of explaining why her picture is actually on the front cover the yearbook she brought along. We, of course, couldn’t agree more with that superlative.

Danai, 44, turned every head as she arrived to the Longacre Theatre on Thursday in a vibrant yellow and black coat which cinched into her waist.
She strutted down the pink carpet in glossy black heels and further dressed up the look with bright gold hoop earrings and several rings.

Even though Pedro Pascal might be one of the stars of HBO’s upcoming TV adaptation of The Last of Us, it sounds like he might not be all that good at playing video games. This is something that Pascal himself has made no qualms about in the past, so it’s not like he’s pretending to be something that he isn’t. That being said, Pascal’s co-star of The Last of Us, Bella Ramsey, has now publicly joked about him and his lack of “gaming skillz.”
In a recent interaction on social media today, a fan implored Ramsey to make her co-star Pascal play through the entirety of The Last of Us. Within the past month, Pascal confirmed that he’s never actually played the game for himself, which he didn’t see to be as a negative thing. Ramsey ended up responding to the fan and said that it’s something she would like to convince him to do, but it’s just not possible because of his expertise when it comes to video games. “I would but he has no gaming skillz,” Ramsey jokingly said in response.
Even though Ramsey is clearly just having fun with Pascal, as mentioned before, Pascal doesn’t see it as a bad thing that he’s never played The Last of Us. In fact, in an interview with GQ recently, Pascal said that because he’s never played the iconic PlayStation title for himself, it allows him to bring a different mindset to working on the TV show. “I found Joel so impressive — I found the whole of it such a visually impressive experience,” Pascal said of a time when he watched his nephew play the game. “And then I got worried that I would want to imitate too much, which I think could be right in some circumstances, and then a mistake in others. So I just wanted to create a healthy distance, and for that to be more in the hands of Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann.”
It remains to be seen if Pascal will ever end up playing The Last of Us for himself one day, but maybe with some help from Ramsey, he could find a way to see the game through. As for HBO’s version of The Last of Us, the show doesn’t have a premiere date just yet but it’ll arrive in 2023.

Ahead of the ceremony, McAdams spoke with The Hollywood Reporter, and revealed that she can feel a ‘swell of reconnection and reuniting love for movies right now.’
The star added: ‘Not to overstate it, but it’s kind of emotional to think about going and sitting in a movie theater full of people again.’
As for her upcoming adaptation of Judy Blume’s book, the actress revealed that she didn’t read it while she was growing up.
‘It was really nice to come to it later in life as a mom because I was playing the mother character and was viewing it through that lens,’ she said.
‘I have a daughter, so it became really powerful from that point of view. And then it also took me back to my own childhood and wishing I had discovered that book.’

‘I didn’t think this thing was going to be made. I can’t believe Robert De Niro is playing my father in this movie. It hurt my feelings when I heard Leonardo DiCaprio should play me,’ he said, according to Deadline.
De Niro joked back, saying, ‘My only problem was with Sebastian, if I could recast him, I would have gotten DiCaprio.’

Ahead of the ceremony, McAdams spoke with The Hollywood Reporter, and revealed that she can feel a ‘swell of reconnection and reuniting love for movies right now.’
The star added: ‘Not to overstate it, but it’s kind of emotional to think about going and sitting in a movie theater full of people again.’
As for her upcoming adaptation of Judy Blume’s book, the actress revealed that she didn’t read it while she was growing up.
‘It was really nice to come to it later in life as a mom because I was playing the mother character and was viewing it through that lens,’ she said.
‘I have a daughter, so it became really powerful from that point of view. And then it also took me back to my own childhood and wishing I had discovered that book.’

We’ve already had a wealth of information drop during the Voltron panel, a teaser for the third season, more food goo than we can physically stomach, as well as an interview with executive producers Lauren Montgomery and Joaquim Dos Santos.
Now, Bex Taylor-Klaus and Tyler Labine are offering their thoughts on what’s next for Hunk and Pidge. And if you weren’t already impatient for Voltron‘s return to Netflix, you soon will be.
Family is everything
We’ve spoken at length, previously, with Bex Taylor-Klaus about Pidge’s search for their family. But, since that interview, some new developments have occurred. Namely that Pidge has come across footage that definitively confirms Matt is out there, somewhere in the universe.
“Pidge is obviously continuing the search for her family, which she will do until either she dies or she finds them. Simple as that,” Taylor-Klaus said of Pidge’s steadfast determination to find both her brother and father. “She has a bigger lead, and a visual on her brother, and that’s definitely going to help propel her in a new direction.”
But to what lengths could that new direction see Pidge go? The subject was broached with Taylor-Klaus over whether Pidge might do things we wouldn’t initially expect, in the name of getting her family back. “I think that there is definitely a possibility that we will see Pidge doing things that aren’t exactly out of character, but make you go, ‘Wow,’” she told us.
Tyler Labine interjected, saying, “You definitely become aware of how far Pidge is being pushed, and how far she’s willing to go this season.”
Though, with Shiro gone, and Lotor stepping swiftly into Zarkon’s shoes, how much can we expect that search to get put on the back-burner — especially with the need for a new pilot for the Black Lion being a pressing concern?
“I like to think that she considers Shiro a part of her family. I mean, she grew up hearing stories about him, as she says in the first episode. And she grew up knowing of him, and knowing how much her family respected and adored him,” Taylor-Klaus said. “Now that she’s had a chance to interact with him, for two whole seasons, she’s gained the same emotional connection to him. So, I think, even though Keith may not see it the same way, she’s not giving up on Shiro. And she would love to find him too, but her family is still first. It’s blood.”
Leadership and beyond
Hunk is, undoubtedly, the most gifted when it comes to culinary skills. But fans are hungry — pardon the pun — for more development of his character outside of that. Tyler Labine had a double-edged answer for whether that development was coming during the next drop of episodes.
“Well, you know, I would love to lie to you,” he teased, which drew a couple of laughs, before sobering up. “There’s just not that much room in this season to develop for Hunk. There’s seven episodes.”
Which isn’t to say that Lauren Montgomery and Joaquim Dos Santos aren’t aware, and actively moving in a direction to develop Hunk, but it won’t happen in the seven episodes hitting Netflix in August.
“That’s not to say there’s nothing,” Labine added. “I know, because we’ve been recording future episodes, that there are things coming, I think I teased that on Twitter, and it’s true. It’s just that we’re going to take a while to get there. And like I said, this a huge ordeal, Shiro’s gone. It’s going to take a long time to sort out.”
Taylor-Klaus also had a little insight of her own as to why Hunk might not be getting the development we were hoping for in season 3. “I like to think that Hunk is kind of, in some ways, farther in his maturity than the other Paladins are, not including Shiro,” she said. “So, yes, there’s obviously development for every single character, without a doubt. But it feels, to me, it makes sense to have Hunk kind of hold back because he seems like such a solid dude already.”
Of course, losing Shiro poses something of a challenge to Hunk, when it comes to holding together Team Voltron. From Keith’s volatile reaction, to the search for a new leader, the potential for conflict in their ranks is running high. “There is a little bit of that for everybody this season,” Labine said. “There are qualities in each of the Paladins that could, if explored fully and nurtured and taken care of and honed, they could be a leader. Any one of us.”
And while arguments have been made for Keith, Lance, and even Allura to step into that leadership role, Taylor-Klaus believes Hunk is the true “peacemaker” of the team.
“Hunk is a peacemaker. Definitely. He likes to smooth out the edges with food, with humor, and whatever. But nobody is ready yet,” Labine told us, a statement that echoes earlier comments made by Lauren Montgomery. “So there are moments, for sure, where Hunk steps up, tries to take the lead in a couple of battles. We all have moments where we’re kind of trying to, with the lack of Shiro’s presence, trying to step up. But it’s just… none of us can actually really handle [it].”

James Corden’s career has so far taken him from a town in Essex to the Broadway stage, and he has become a firm favourite in American households hosting The Late Late Show.
The TV presenter will leave his hosting duties on The Late Late Show in summer next year after more than eight years, broadcaster CBS has announced.
The 40-year-old father-of-three, who is perhaps best known in Britain for his role as likeable mate Neil “Smithy” Smith in sitcom Gavin And Stacey, based in Essex and Wales, enjoyed favourable reviews when he was beamed into living rooms across the US for the first time at the helm of one of the country’s most popular television shows in 2015.

The comedian, who was awarded an OBE in the 2015 New Year Honours list for his services to drama, took over as presenter of The Late Late Show from Scottish-born comedian Craig Ferguson, who spent 10 years as host.
Corden, who grew up in Buckinghamshire, discovered a talent for making people laugh while at school, to the detriment of his educational achievements, and got his stage acting break in the musical Martin Guerre at the age of 17, although he quit because he found it boring.
The star, who harboured dreams of being in a boy band as a teenager, went on to land a TV role in a Channel 4 music business spoof Boyz Unlimited.
He then played a regular role in the ITV drama Fat Friends, where he became pally with actress Ruth Jones.
Roles in the stage and film version of Alan Bennett’s The History Boys and the movie Starter For Ten ensured he became a familiar face, and he developed into a national favourite thanks to the comedy series Gavin And Stacey, which he co-wrote with Jones and which graduated from BBC Three to BBC One.

Corden, who played gregarious Bustopher Jones, told The New Yorker he had “a great time” making the film but did not have plans to ever watch it.
But he landed serious acclaim for his acting abilities when he starred in the National Theatre, West End and Broadway runs of the production of One Man, Two Guvnors.
The comedian has already enjoyed TV presenting roles, hosting sports shows A League Of Their Own and James Corden’s World Cup Live, as well as fronting the Brit Awards numerous times.
Corden, whose role as Smithy in Gavin And Stacey often played on his weight, shed six stone ahead of the launch of his TV career in the US.
The Carpool Karaoke segment of his US show, which sees him sing in the car alongside various stars, has featured some of the biggest names in the music business including Sir Paul McCartney, Adele, Billie Eilish, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Justin Bieber and more.
In an interview with The Mail on Sunday’s Event Magazine in 2018, Corden paid tribute to late singer George Michael, saying Carpool Karaoke would never have happened without him.
Michael appeared in the first iteration of the sketch, inspired by Gavin And Stacey and filmed for Comic Relief, in 2011.
He told the publication: “It wouldn’t exist without him and his ability to laugh at himself. No question.”

In his personal life, Corden, who moved from London to Los Angeles with his family, has been married to Julia Carey since 2012.

The Late Late Show has been Corden’s most successful onscreen venture, and he will have hosted the show for more than eight years by the time he hands over its reins next year.
His first episode aired in March 2015, with Hollywood star Tom Hanks featured as a guest on the opening night.
Like most other major US talk shows, filming of The Late Late Show was hampered by the coronavirus pandemic, including a special fifth anniversary special in March 2020.
An emotional Corden reflected on the show’s success in a virtual message to fans ahead of the episode’s airing.
Looking back on his first show, Corden said: “I’m filled with nerves and excitement and a feeling of when that curtain opened and I walked out for the first time, I didn’t know if I was going to fall flat on my face or if this was all going to be OK.
Five years ago today we filmed our first ever Late Late Show. Thanks to everyone who’s watched and been part of it. It’s been quite the unexpected ride, and we’ll try to bring you a new show soon. J x
“And I never thought that day that I would be here today talking to you five years on.
“Thank you for this last five years, for letting me talk to you every night. I never expected it to be quite the journey that it’s been. Stay safe out there.”
Following the announcement of his departure he told US publication Deadline the decision to leave had been “really hard” but he was “immensely proud” of the programme and its achievements.
