While the release of the animated film Super Mario has been postponed to the spring of 2023, rumors and rumors about it are multiplying on social networks. A detailed plot summary, yet based purely on theory, has been the subject of a removal request on Reddit for copyright infringement.

As you may know, the Super Mario animated film was supposed to be released in theaters before the end of 2022, but finally we will have to wait until spring 2023 to discover the adventures of the mustachioed plumber on the big screen.

In the meantime, rumors surrounding the film’s plot are spreading at breakneck speed on the web. A Reddit user also had the idea of regroup all these theories to make a detailed summary of the story potential of the film. In this thread called “[Spoilers] Potential plot of the Mario movie”, this user therefore created from scratch the summary of the story of the film, thanks to the comments of some people who attended test screenings or fans of the license. Of course, he specifies that none of the information is official and that these are mere theories.

Reddit removes Super Mario theories for copyright infringement

In other words, this is an average publication from a simple fan who is just trying to theorize about the animated film. A type of content that is often found on many products/games/movies and series. But against all odds, the thread in question has been deleted by Reddit’s legal operations team following a “claim of copyright by a third party”.

The important thing here is therefore to know who is at the origin of this request. Our colleagues from the Torrent Freak site tried to get explanations from Reddit, without success. In fact, and if we dare to make a few guesses, the most logical complainants could be Nintendo, Illumination (the studio in charge of the film) or Universal Pictures (the publisher). Another question remains unanswered, Why was this request made? Since this thread didn’t contain any stolen images or video from the movie, logic would dictate that the problem lies with the text of the message. In other words, we can assume that the summary contained exact plot spoilerseven though it is based on mere speculation.

Can speculation represent copyright infringement?

Is this request justified then in the eyes of American copyright law? The question arises, especially since in this specific case, the user has not shared any third-party copyrighted material. Nevertheless, and in the past, we have already seen law firms step up to the plate for the dissemination of spoilers, which they consider to be a violation of copyright. This was the case for “The Spoiling Dead”, an online community that used to share precise information about the plot of episodes of The Walking Dead series.

The group had notably promised to reveal who the identity of the killer of Negan, an announcement that prompted broadcaster AMC to go on the offensive. In a 2016 termination notice, the directors of “The Spoiling Dead” were accused of receiving “copyrighted trade secret information on the most critical plot details” of the series with the aim of “distribute this highly confidential information”, knowing that this would harm AMC. Here is what AMC’s legal team said at the time of this case: “Broadcasting plot summaries, and in particular the crucial plot elements that you have stated you intend to broadcast, has been considered copyright infringement”.

Did you know that there was a time, at the very beginning of military aviation, when pilots shot each other with simple revolvers? The first thing that strikes when Red Wings: American Aces kicks off are the cel-shaded graphics in comic book form. Some cooler missions ask us to pass through a certain number of rings. The difficulty is still very present, and it often happens to have to start a mission again. This is in no way embarrassing, because the missions last a few minutes at most and the recovery is immediate.

Red Wings: American Aces offers a story mode with thirty missions to complete. The story is presented in the form of comic panels, and it is pleasant to follow. Each mission can earn stars which will be used to improve our war machines thanks to an extensive skill tree, ranging from the barrel roll or barrel roll to the squadron which causes a multi-attack on a single enemy, passing through the turn of clearing or direct elimination. These four elements are the basis of the game, and can be used during the game by pressing one of the four buttons on the right. Fortunately, rings suspended in the sky allow us to recover life and fuel during the mission.

A good point to note is the presence of a two-player mode, especially in the story mode. It is thus possible to play in split screen with a friend and to browse the story together. The two-player mode also allows quick games against each other. On the other hand, if an online mode exists, it is hopelessly empty, although it is possible to change continents to try to find players.

Special attention has been paid to clouds in the game. As it is possible to hide in said clouds, there are several types: milky white clouds, electric gray clouds, red sandstorm, clouds with curtains of rain. And we quickly understand that the timing of the strike is essential. If it fails, the avatar stumbles and finds itself unable to get up in time to return the steering wheel. A slightly frustrating mechanic. But the activity, like the other five, is perfectly fun. And that’s basically all we ask of him.

With more than two players, tennis like volleyball, more technical for its part, will also be very good entertainment. Regarding the latter, however, a certain discomfort is felt when you go to three in split screen. The action becomes much less readable, and we find ourselves squinting to follow the match correctly. Not easy also to do without some worries of inaccuracies: the motion gaming can be improved, a point observed on certain approximate throws. Perfect shots are hard to come by, even when concentrating all possible efforts.

Classic and new

Perfectly combining the disciplines that we dreamed of finding with some new features, Nintendo Switch Sports even enriches some classics with nice variations. Let’s talk about the chambara in particular, these duels that appeared in Wii Sports Resort which consist of ejecting the opponent from the platform by giving him saber blows and parrying. The activity is as fresh as it is quick and lends itself perfectly to sessions lasting less than five minutes. It comes with several types of accessories for very correct replayability: a sword, a charged sword, or two swords. Finally bowling also goes to the next level. In addition to the honorable possibility of being able to play all at the same time, the sport now offers obstacle courses. A very good idea to spice up an activity that is usually quite conventional. Online, it even has a survival mode for up to 16 participants.

Some fantasies are also to be found on the football side. Discipline offers a unique gameplay and invites us to use the joy-con sticks a lot more in order to move the characters on the screen. The leg strap, a great addition for the episode, is currently only compatible with penalty shootouts. Until this summer, traditional matches are only played by hand with huge balls. In the vein of a less nervous Rocket League, players compete for a gigantic ball on a large field. And despite a good dose of fun, there are a handful of flaws: Here, if passes are allowed, tackles are not. Shame. We also note that the vastness of the area serves a too limited sprint gauge. The player spends too much time chasing his ball, which inevitably generates small moments of floating. Finally, the allied AI tends to stay a little too hidden in defense. And yet, difficult to complete a match without letting out a few bursts of laughter.

The program is therefore varied and the activities offered by Nintendo are all disciplines of choice. However, we would not have said no to a handful of additional sports, even if it meant taking more inspiration from what was offered in Wii Sports. If we know that the studio will delight us with a new sport in the fall – namely golf – we hope that it will not be the last planned addition. When it comes to sports games, Nintendo is on familiar ground. Except Wii Sportswe were also entitled to some notable titles, including WiiFit or Ring Fit Adventure. In comparison, Nintendo Switch Sports is clearly not as intense, but after an hour of play, you will certainly come out of it with some soreness in your arm.

However, you never come out of a session of Switch Sports with the impression of having imposed a training. The diversity of the disciplines offered and the fun they provide means that every minute spent on the game can be summed up as pure entertainment. In addition, Nintendo innovates with this opus by integrating the first sport playable with the legs. This is the great strength of the studio: succeeding in making something new out of the old, by offering ever more innovative but accessible gameplay. If we had to take each sport one by one, we would surely find things that we like more or less. But if tastes and colors are not discussed, we can objectively say that all disciplines are both realistic and affordable in terms of difficulty. No jealousy, they all take first place on the podium.

Nintendo Switch Sports, so it’s a game that we believe bridges the generations, bringing together both novices and experienced players, franchise connoisseurs and newcomers alike. Nintendo has understood its strength, and is once again using it wisely.

We don’t change a winning team, we modernize it

In addition to the entertaining aspect, and the competitive aspect, we find in Nintendo Switch Sports a beautiful and colorful universe, still witnessing the graphics performance of the console. We have nothing to complain about the general look of the game or even its visual experience (perspectives, camera angles, etc.). Another great novelty, the Miis, famous characters that appeared with the Wii, have given way to new faces, more stylized and in keeping with the times. From what we’ve seen, customization options are very limited by default, and you’ll need to earn points if you want to redeem them for additional outfits and accessories. Purists will also appreciate the fact that Miis are still a viable option.

April 27, 2022 – Nintendo Switch Sports – the latest installment in the Wii Sports series of games – is coming friday on Nintendo Switch.

Announced during Pokemon Presents of February 27, broadcast on the occasion of the pokemon daythe brand new “limited” animated series Pokemon now has a name Pokemon: Hisui’s Snowsand the first episode will be broadcast on May 18 on the official YouTube channels of The Pokémon Company (France, Japan, United States). As we already knew, the anime is produced by Wit Studio, in partnership with The Pokémon Company International. There will be a total of three episodes the duration of which has not been revealed at this time (especially since it is possible that the episodes will not all have the same duration). In addition, it will go even further into the past, whereas in Pokémon Legends: Arceus there were already no Trainers and Pokémon Leagues. In Pokémon: The Snows of Hisui, we will see that the relationships between humans and Pokémon were very different. We will follow the scenario through the point of view ofAlec, the protagonist, who remembers, aboard his boat leading him to Hisui, the first time his father brought him to this region. The three episodes will reveal anecdotes from Alec’s past, where we will therefore see him as both a child and an adult. Of course, Alec won’t be the only new character in this anime, and Hisui’s form of Zorua will be at the heart of the adventure.

If for most of us, the first experience with Sherlock Holmes was the obligatory reading of, let’s say at random, the hound of the Baskervilles in fourth grade, others were able to discover this magnificent character through the video game. Because yes, Sherlock Holmes is a character who fascinates, and that, since his creation by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in 1887. This bohemian and eccentric detective who is agitated only for the good investigations is always so charismatic regardless of the format of his adaptation. The adventure games in which he is the hero are no exception, and if their form has evolved a lot since his first appearance in 1984 on ZX-Spectrum, their background is always to lead our favorite detective, sorry Arsène, towards the solution of the enigma. Now is the time to see if the arrival of the latest episode on our Switches lives up to the reputation of its main protagonist.

The arrival of Sherlock Holmes the Devil’s Daughter on our Switchs is an opportunity to continue the adventure started with the very good Crimes and Punishments. Using the same engine, namely the Unreal Engine 3, it nevertheless tries to renew our gaming experience by adding new game mechanics as well as a story that we follow in red thread throughout the five investigations that this opus contains. . Were these choices wise? Inspector Lestrade, will he have his moment of glory? Enola and Mycroft, will they be there? And above all, will Watson finally conclude with Mrs. Hudson? Many questions that will find an answer in this test, or not.

We begin our adventure in Sherlock’s living room, he is in the grip of one of his phases of depression due to a lack of investigation worthy of the name. Fortunately for him, his new neighbor, Miss Alice De Bouvier, arrives at his home, accompanied by a young boy, Tom, whose father has disappeared. The chance to solve a mystery is too tempting for our detective. And this is how our new adventure begins. If the investigations have no common thread, the interludes involving our new neighbor as well as our adopted daughter, Katelyn, will punctuate this episode until its outcome.

Each of the investigations entrusted to us has its own history and its own places to explore. The second novelty of this episode is that we can now walk the streets of London to get from one point to another rather than using the cab. The immersion is more important than in the previous episode and the modeling of certain districts that we cross perfectly renders the Victorian atmosphere of the English capital. It should however be noted that the loading times are relatively numerous and seriously chop our progress.

The novelty in continuity

While the previous opus of the adventures of Sherlock Holmes had opted for unrelated investigations, with each other, the addition of this common thread to our adventures is a little extra that gives a little more body to the title of Frogwares , even if this story is sewn with white thread. This is also one of the pitfalls that we can make to all the investigations that are proposed to us, very quickly, we see arrived at kilometers the identity of the person responsible for the abuses on which we seek to put a name .

In the same vein, we are, as in the previous episode, too taken by the hand and the investigations take place fairly linearly without really reaching a peak of difficulty. Each important element of our investigation is indicated by a circle. Its color will change depending on the completion, or not, of its study. These visual indications allow us to move forward without ever forgetting anything important. This certainly smooths our progress, but it also greatly simplifies it, as do the appearances of the abilities to use.

We will also find other familiar faces in this Devil’s Daughter. First there is Wiggins, the young boy who performs various tasks for Sherlock. Here he will have to spin in the winding streets of London. These interventions will give rise to mini games. These dot the course of our adventure with varying degrees of success. If sending with the left and right sticks, two circles in the targets, to keep Wiggins’ balance during a dangerous passage on the roofs, is both short and intense, having to stick to a game of Boulingrin de several minutes is downright annoying, even if, again, the immersion in Sherlock’s life is deepened. Note that it is possible, depending on our mood and our desire to progress in the game, to skip these mini-games.

The observation phases are always present in this opus. In these, we must use the talents of Holmes to draw conclusions from the elements emerging from a physics and the outfit of a protagonist. Two novelties pleasantly point the tip of their nose. First, there is the need to make choices about certain observations. The red eyes of this character, are they due to illness or fatigue? Our choice will influence, or not, the rest of our deductions in a good way.

The second novelty is the addition of a difficulty level. In seasoned investigator mode, these observation phases will be subject to a timer of a few seconds. Luckily for us, those few seconds will be in slow motion time. If they do not pose great difficulty for a New Game, the challenge is more difficult to meet during a first attempt. The resulting tension is welcome for fans of the genre who had found in Crimes and Punishments an adventure unworthy of their talents.

From choice comes knowledge

An important part of our adventure will consist in linking all our evidence thanks to the mechanism already well in place of association of ideas. Each of these associations will create a synapse, again we have, for some, the possibility of choosing the orientation of our conclusion, and according to our choices, we will end up discovering the real culprit. Once this one is discovered, several moral choices will be offered to us, it is undoubtedly the most successful aspect of the opuses signed Frogwares. Allowing us to decide the fate of the suspect is extremely immersive.

For the rest, we find the dialogue phases with choices to be made and interventions, in the form of undermining QTE, which then ask us to use one of the clues recovered to justify our choice. It is once again a success. We must constantly pay attention to the dialogue and the indications on the screen so as not to miss pressing the requested key when it appears.

It’s not that simple, because in general, without reaching heights, the dubbing is however convincing. Fully translated and dubbed in French, Sherlock Holmes the Devil’s Daughter is a title that can be listened to throughout the big fifteen hours necessary to overcome the five enigmas and the epilogue. The soundtrack is of good quality even if it is very often discreet compared to ambient noise and conversations.

But the last success to report for this port is the graphics part. The port of the Frogwares title, dating from 2016 and running under Unreal Engine 3, arrives on Switch in a version almost identical to the basic one. The characters have a well-made model and the effort put into the faces and the transcription of their emotion is palpable. Similarly, the lighting effects under very successful and it is not uncommon to stop in the middle of a London street to observe the play of the sun’s rays in the foliage of a tree.

The possibility offered to us of being able to roam freely from Sherlock’s apartment to the slums of the Whitechapel district also allows us to appreciate the work done by the developers for the reconstruction of this Victorian London. However, we regret that the grime is absent and that the whole thing looks a little too polished. The only problem is that for such a result, the loading times are quite invasive. Fortunately, to reduce their impact, carriage rides allow us to “work” our inventory and our mental library.

Last October, we were lucky enough to have the opportunity to test EPOS’ H3Pro Hybrid headset on Nintendo Switch. Since then, a big update has been launched on the headset to improve sound and noise reduction performance. In addition, two new colors will arrive in stores shortly, including the white color that we were lucky enough to have tested again! What confirm you all the good that we think of this helmet.

Note: the update is possible for all H3Pro Hybrid headsets, regardless of color, and is done via the Epos Gaming Suite software on PC and via a supplied USB-C cable.

We therefore share with you today our feedback on the beast. At Nintendo-Town, we are not sound experts, so our test will be a summary of the real feelings in use.

Surprise ! No… The headset works very well in Bluetooth and connects easily. The pairing button being accessible and useful. The sound is pleasant and without hitches in portable mode as docked on the TV. On the other hand, the Nintendo Switch does not allow the use of the microphone part of the headset. The noise isolation is more than adequate and the only complaint one could make about these headphones is the somewhat short cable supplied and the rather unsightly jack port which clashes with the overall design of the rather successful headphones.

Regarding battery life, we are told that on a single charge, the H3Pro Hybrid can provide up to 30 hours of wireless gaming with the low latency dongle, 19 hours with ANC. Up to 38 hours of audio on Bluetooth®, 22 hours with ANC. Up to 29 hours with 3.5mm cable, 19 hours with ANC. The headset is recharged during the game when connected via USB. After checking, we seem to be holding the promised charges, even if we haven’t counted the minute. We don’t often recharge the helmet once paired, we even forget that it has to be recharged from time to time. Which is often a good sign in terms of autonomy. If you follow us on our Twitch channel, I’ve been using this headset since last October every time, it’s part of my basic setup. Yet I only charge it once every two weeks.

Speaking of streams, like voice calls, the noise cancellation on the microphone is frighteningly clinical and effective, which is a definite plus!

Excluding Switch, we were also able to use this headset on other Bluetooth devices. Easily connected to the PC and configurable like any headset via the basic Windows options, the sound and the audio feedback were impeccable. I was also able to use this headset on my smartphone and make a few calls, as well as watch a movie (as you might know, I watched The Legend of Bagger Vance and the League of Legends EIM play-ins, with the 3/0 of the KC and Vita Bee in Day 1, your curiosity is satisfied). In this configuration, too, the headphones met all expectations (noise isolation, sound quality, microphone quality).

Another little extra of this Pro version of the H3 Hybrid, the removable Microphone which is easily removed and put back on even more easily via an ingenious magnet system. Practical, even if we haven’t had the opportunity to use it in 6 months of use. Wireless (without lag) advertised is one of the features that we could not judge, we did not notice a noticeable difference on this subject with the H3 Hybrid. To finish with the little extras of the Pro version, the addition of wireless connectivity (via dongle) will allow everyone to use the headset, regardless of the PC equipment.

Conclusion

The H3PRO hybrid headset offers secure, lag-free wireless performance combined with multiple connection options. Enhanced noise cancellation with ANC technology cuts out ambient noise, for a fully immersive gaming experience. The detachable mic boom makes this lightweight, adjustable headset even more versatile. As you have understood, we are very happy with the use of this helmet, and the new colors accompanied by the update make this helmet even more essential, despite its price which is a certain investment.
